And what is she planning to do during her gap-year?

I personally think it would be better to continue her studies w/o taking a year off. She would learn more, in more ways than one.

Party with Prince Harry. Seriously, if she was my daughter, I would say no unless she's joining the Peace Corps and ends up getting stationed in Micronesia.

A gap year means the odds are she won’t be going to college. Is she going to lazy around, or party hearty, or get a job to pay her way? Gap years are jokes.

Kids where we live usually take a “gap” year because they were deferred at their chosen school or need an extra year at a prep school. Could also be she’s very immature.
