Taking bets Hillary plays off health of her husband in the general election.
My guess is when she see's she is losing, Bill will suddenly suffer a medical emergency and be hospitalized. Hillary of course will immediately rush to his side while the media goes nuts and calls for a halt to campaign in order to stop Trump momentum and allow for 24/7 coverage of a "brave and courageous" Hillary who is willing to sacrifice her dream to be by her husband.
Murder everyone who you fear.
I think that would only highlight her obvious frailties

Bill is ‘endangered’ .... he better hire a food taster & watch his back. The way Chelsea has been talking, she’s a chip off the old ‘mom block’ which means she’ll be “in” on it, too.
I’ve been expecting this for a couple of years now. They never let a crisis go to waste and he certainly looks like he’s in critical condition.
But I don’t think she’ll step down. She’ll play it for sympathy and extra votes. Keeper of the flame and all that.

You can just see the MSM, NPR, foreign politicians and GOP establishment providing 24 x 7 touching tributes to how great suffering Slick Willy and his dutiful bedside wife are.

actually that would be a good strategy for Hillary, especially if she lacks the stamina to stump on the campaign trail over the long term, and/or her talking points start to miss the mark with the public at large (”let me make one thing perfectly clear, I am not a crook” redux).
(to complete the thought, trump is right now engaged in a campaign of attrition by generating media-marketable sound bites almost every day if not every few hours. this forces the MSM to become all-trump, all the time, even if it does not want to. Hillary has the one-note kitty message. No matter how sympathetic, there is only so much that the mainstream media can do with a one-note kitty message. Trump himself remarked on this a few days ago. By seizing control of the media, Trump tramples Hillary out of the headlines, and out of the minds of groupthink voters who depend on other people to tell them what to do (ie, mostly Hillary voters). The liberal groupthink voters will quietly panic and not show up at the voting booth in November. To forestall this, Hillary needs a neutral distraction that can at the same time generate waves of sympathetic support headlines in the media, day after day. Presto, a medical emergency, not concerning her, but a close family member (and I do not mean Web Hubbell, lol).
To be clear, it is my understanding that the original poster posits the possibility that Hillary stays in the race while this happens and does not use it as an excuse to drop out. If I have misunderstood, I still think that the abovementioned points are valid.
What you suggest is not outside the realm of possibility, certainly.
