We STILL don’t have many appliances and other devices that change the time at daylight savings time or (in many cases) reset themselves after a power failure. This will be far from universal, and is likely to make more hassle than it resolves.
“The Internet of Things” seems a little stodgy. We need a new, catchy name.
How about...”The Matrix”?
Here is a useful internet of things. You can buy wifi connected bathroom scales. You weigh in and your weight gets sent to your doctors office or some friends you are trying to lose weight with or your spouse or ?girlfriend?...and so on

It exists. And it’s a great idea.
I’m in this space. We’re 20 years away from mass adoption. But fun to think about.
I am also heavily in the IoT arena and having a great time promoting it.
The entire concept is insane.
I’d rather live in a cabin in the woods without connectivity.
