Jim Rockford was an adaptation of Raymond Chandler’s hard boiled detective, revised for TV and set in contemporary California. Virtually by definition, the hard boiled detective type must live alone without the distraction of romantic attachments. Otherwise, a large part of the show becomes about the couple relationship instead of the crime story.

Yvonne Craig was the green girl and also Batgirl.

About Susan Oliver: It’s a real pity she died in 1990 (age 58) of lung cancer.

There were two different green girls in different episodes.

Did anyone ever notice that every time Jim Rockford kissed a woman on his show, that she was dead before the hour was up? Those Cartwright boys had similar luck with women.

Susan Craig was the green girl, IIRC. Susan Oliver was the original Orion slave girl, seen in the pilot. Yvonne Craig also wore the green makeup in a later episode.

And if you hired Perry Mason for any legal work, you or someone around would be murdered within 24 hours.

Susan Oliver played a prisoner locked up in Mayberry on the Andy Griffith Show. She was a temptress and made Andy and Barney so excited that she almost broke out. Then Andy snapped out it. (then Andy completely lost it and promoted O-care)

Yeah that is the story. He ‘found’ her at the bottom of the pool. Like Robert Wagner ‘found’ Natalie Wood off the side of the boat.

Ha ha! The unintended funniest part of that Carrey video was Sulu wanting girls.

I glad you liked it.
I prefer the Carol Burnett ST parody a message or two earlier.
