Hey Gina! What do you like tonight? I’m most interested in Halls of Ivy and Lux. Doctor Kildare is interesting. I’ve heard GS’s Jayhawkers so many times I can tell the story...
Hi, Vision! Happy Sunday! It’s a pretty one, too.
I guess the Lux looks good. Did you have a good week?
All is well, thank goodness. My granddad had his 90th birthday yesterday. I’m so thankful to the Lord for him. My grandmother died a few years ago. They were married 65 years or so. He misses her terribly.
Wow, 90, married 65. What did you do?
I sent him a card, Shari’s Berries, birthday colored ones, and I called him. He lives back home in Texas. I wish I could’ve been there with him. They all went out to Outback to celebrate his and my uncle’s birthdays that are a few days apart.
I didn’t realize Barrymore was still doing the Gillespie role at that time. His last film appearance as the wheelchair-bound doc was in 1947. Ayres had made a bit of a comeback in the late-1940s around the time of “Johnny Belinda” and such, and career-wise I wouldn’t have quite expected him to return to his Kildare role. But obviously he did.
Your knowledge is impressive.
Lionel’s in great form...
Good night, Vision. I hope you have a good week!
Night Gina you too
