Single use restrooms are actually more dangerous for women. Multi-use bathrooms, especially if well trafficked are safer ... more eyes and ears on the scene if something were to go wrong.
People are not understanding the issue here. Public restrooms are inherently unsafe “dead end” corridors for women, out of sight of passers-by. Some are more safe than others (see above) but all are and HAVE ALWAYS BEEN potential safety problems. Any woman will tell you this. No sign on the door is going to make you safer inside and IT NEVER DID.
The problem is not trans-gendered people ... they are such a small number as to be not an issue.
