No we don’t need more mothers like that. Public shaming of your children on the Internet is not a good thing to do. Also, it sounds like her child was spoiled rotten in the first place. Which means she is overcompensating for lack of attention in the past.

All teenaged daughters have a right to a truck!

It’s in the Constitution!

Yes, it sounds like a silly, pretentious game all around, both of them.

My Dad's rule was no grade below a B. Impact of rule violation was walking, riding my bike, or taking the bus. The punishment was in place until the next report card came out (mid-term and end of term/year applied). End of year sucked, because I had to wait until mid-term next fall to get my new report card.

I blew it a few times. My explanation to my fellow bus passengers were I broke a piston, or blew a head gasket. Problem was, those were weekend fixes, and I was riding the bus for several weeks at a time.

There were no exceptions for work, either. And I had 25 minutes to get from school to work. It was 4 miles between the two on the roads I took. Walking was not an option.

Or soon will be if Hillary or Trump appointments to the SCOTUS are fulfilled.

I’d sell the truck but would never advertise any reason for it.

No public humiliation is necessary.

My first vehicle was a truck-I still drive an old 4x4-sensible for a remote rural area and a job in construction-I like men, and I don’t dip...

It just sounds so drama queenish.

I’m tempted to say no wonder hubby ain’t there. He got driven off by the insanity years ago.

As for the stated value, it’s possible that if daughter dearest got a JOB she could earn it in a summer. It’s not all that high.

My cub lost the it’s-my-car argument as a college student at the age of 18-1st time away from home, and suddenly it was falling grades, too much partying, suddenly disrespectful when she had not been that way before. We told her she was coming back home to live and commute to school, now, or we would take the car away-she argued, dad said your name is not on the title-and I drove “her” car home. She was home with her stuff in less than two weeks, and improved grades and attitudes soon followed-we returned the car in a month or so...

Amy Adams has to keep up with the mother who threw away her kids ice cream if she wants to keep the coveted "World's Meanest Mom" statuette.

I guess Amy's bitter because that Hollywood thing didn't work out for her.

Staged crap. Like all ‘reality shows’(at least the few I’ve seen), everyone has one eye on the camera while pretending not to. Kardasian wannabes.
