I remember Woolworth Stores that the song Love at the Five and Dime had the smell of popcorn and chewing gum rubbed around on the bottom of a leather soled shoe.

Yep. I especially remember that smell from around Christmas time.

There was a Sears in San Diego that we used to go to to visit Santa and I remember when you first walked in the smell of popcorn and roasted nuts would waft over us. Fond memories. My Dad took me to the same store expressly because they were displaying the James Bond Aston Martin, complete with the revolving license plates and machine guns. Too cool. Also got my first BB gun there.
