Bears have their young when in hibernation, they are just now getting out and about. If you accidentally or on purpose (suicide) get between a sow and cubs, bad things happen.

Actually when fishing a short barreled pump 12 gauge with slugs. Most guides carry those for back up to their clients rifle/bows.
