Typical of the Trumpkins to miss the point, and you are absolutely correct.
Trump is impressive only in that he has been able to convince a group of lemmings that he is being cheated even though he is winning, and the rules have actually helped him.
Typical of a Cruzbot. The point is Party regulars got to vote and Trump gets ZERO (0) delegates. Even in Wisconsin where the was a popular vote that Cruz won, Trump walked away with some delegates. Had there been a popular vote to apportion delegates in Colorado Trump may have won a majority, or at least walked away with some portion.
The other point is that Cruz has no path to win on the first ballot. He can not lay claim to being an insurgent candidate anymore. Trump has exposed the system. The Republican rank and file only have the delusion of a choice and the game is rigged to make sure Party bosses "steer" the selection of the candidate. It is now becoming obvious why a good man like Santorum had no chance against Romney. Even though he was leading early the guy who is selected will ultimately triumph.
Do you really think that Cruz would have gotten a single delegate in Colorado if Jeb Bush was leading instead of Trump? You all want to go by "rules" but the point is we have a chance right now to bring fairness to the Party selection process. We have a chance to make the Republican party more responsive to the Rank and File. But Cruz and his supporters don't care about that. They like the appeal of sneaking in the back door.
Cruz is slipping in the national polls. He is in 3rd place in most of the Northeast polls that I've seen. You have no chance in a National election and if Trump meets expectations over the next few weeks you will sink the only real chance of keeping Clinton out of the White House.
I haven't donated to the Republican Party for years and now given the exposed rigged system I will probably switch my party affiliation to independent depending on what happens at the convention.
