Enough. Bring back good variety shows like Carol Burnett, Red Skelton, Ed Sullivan, etc.

Idol is done? Oh wait, I never watched so I don’t care.

I really enjoyed AI over the years. Sad to see it end, but it had run its course. The finale was very enjoyable. Got to see some of my favorites again, such as Elliot Yamin and Melinda Doolittle. I hope that the show’s producers let Idol RIP.
LOVED the Carol Burnett show!

We would occasionally tune in to watch some of the auditions from the early shows, but never watched a complete season until this year. We thought LaPortia would win this season but realized toward the end that although she had a great voice, she pretty much sounded the same in every song. Trent had more range and could do country or rock. He deserved to win. Loved seeing dunkelman return to the show. He appeared in the first season with Seacrest then was never heard from again. He played if off in a humorous way, as did Simon Cowell who everyone loved to hate. They even had the pants on the ground guy and she bang guy show up. Great job, AI!
