BTW, I found a recipe a few years ago that called for Saffron.
None found at my local big store.

Needless to say.. I didn’t do THAT recipe.
I don’t remember the price, but it was more than gold I am certain.
It is an expensive ingredient, but you don’t need much of it. Penzys carries it; I have one about 5 miles away. I made a paella that called for it.
If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby go there. Their saffron is quite affordable.
