It is very sad to see people so obese. I have been in three separate hospitals here in Nashville and veterans are getting huge. I had a fellow Vietnam Vet across from me and his gut covered the zipper in his pants while sitting and his huge stomach and sides literally poked out from the armpits on each side and went over the chair plus outwards some 6-8 inches 180 degrees. And he was small as next to him was a man about 44 who was some 400. He told me he was the man’s son. He was an electrician for the city. Going down the hallway home there was a man in what must be a custom made electric super wide wheel chair as it was about 4 feet wide. This guy also had blubber hanging out each side. I left asking myself-what has happened to this country? In 1965 the average lineman on my high school football team was 205 or so. We had 960+ in my graduating class. I recall one obese guy and maybe two girls. Not a one was over 250.
I was having lunch in the hospital cafeteria today and couldn’t believe how many fat people were eating there—and they were all hospital employees! I had a fish sandwich, fries and a pepsi, and it was $3.98! How cool is that!?
Nowadays too many desk jobs. And the other reason for obesity is Netflix. Lots of sitting going on in this country. I need to exercise more myself.
