Yup, my mom has been a FR member since 1999. She won’t even come near it no more. She supports Ted Cruz. The final straw for her was a Trump supporter sent her a profanity laced private message and hurled very personal insults. It was so bad I almost think it was written by The Donald himself.
Happens every election. The vast majority of freepers realize that both Cruz and Trump are way ahead of any candidate in their ability to inspire conservatives (the former) and independents (the latter). Some conservatives are being unfairly attacked but not many and most will deal with it.
It works both ways. There are many Cruz supporters on FR who are incredibly rude, insulting and hypocritical to the extreme.
They proclaim what perfect Christians they are while, at the same time, damning to Hell anyone who dares to vote for a candidate other than Cruz.
It’s even worse on Twitter. Some of the Cruz supporters are breathtakingly vicious, vile and even perverted. A male Cruz supporter tweeted that he wanted to find naked pics of Ivanka and post them online. I reported the pervert and warned my followers about him.
So you can stop acting the victim. The rudeness and insults go both ways. Personally, if I find a respectful, polite Cruz supporter, I treat them with kindness and respect.
OTOH, if I find a snarky, rude Cruz supporter, I also treat them accordingly.
