Pretending that polls stay static from the Spring to the Fall in most election cycles. I never pretended anything of the kind but I will aver that they can reveal trends which can be very predictive. Look at the trend, Trump's negatives are not going from bad to worse they are going from terrible to calamitous.
My objection to anecdotal evidence stands.

Polls can do that on occasion, but rarely this far out, and you know that is a true statement.
I stand by what I said as well, If Ted Cruz actually wins this after going in to the convention with less delegates, he will be destroyed in the general. He doesn't have what it takes to handle the heat he will get.
The good news: It's likely that Trump will be the nominee, and we won't get to test out my observation.
