However, now that you suggest it, I would not at all oppose fraud charges against politicians who promise one thing and do another in office. The only downsides there are finding enough jail space and the logistical issues in having to replace 99.99% of politicians at the same time.
No need for jails. Sentence them to three years on a monitor, limited to their house only and about 25-50 yards.
