I remember my female Lab was faced with a snake in the Reno area desert and it looked very similar to this encounter.

While my dog was not faced with a cobra, the snake held its own for a time. Then my dog bit down on the snake’s belly and shook violently side to side.. I was scared my dog was going to get bit. When I came up upon the site. The snake laid on the ground like a drawing of stair steps...
