What if...Trump wins WI

Then team Hillary takes another $50 million out of the Clinton Foundation petty cash account to give to the journalists to step up their game a bit more. She may have to inject some more funds into the Cruz campaign directly.

Well not 48 states. More like 45, but if he was going to do so he needed to do so by now. The Supreme court upheld the deadline for filling the petitions needed to be on the ballots. Thus he now has about 45 days at most to do so in all states.

The longer he waits the worse chance. Plus, as you stated, he would need to challenge Texas and a few others in court before he is even allowed to start getting petitions signed.

Thus he would need to challenge Texas, Ohio, Michigan, South Dakota and New Mexico I believe. Time is way to short. He should have begun in January just to get the signatures.

Plus, the laws that disallow voters who already voted in a primary from signing a petition is a separate law that needs challenging. Even at that, some those laws have already been upheld by SCOTUS.

One more thing. The Supreme court has already upheld some sore loser laws for major parties, but allow them for minor parties. So if you lost in the Green Party, you could run on another party, but not if you lost the Republican or Democrat Primary.

This is all convoluted and messy, and since Trump has not even begun, he is pretty much screwed.

Also, Sanders will consider the same path, but like Trump, he too has pretty much ran out of time.

I was wrong on one state. They are Texas, Michigan, Ohio, South Dakota, and Mississippi

Michigan -- John Anderson ran for Republican nomination in 1980, then ran independent.

Ohio -- Lyndon LaRouche ran for Democrat nomination in 1992, then ran independent.

Mississippi -- Gary Johnson ran for the Republican nomination in 2012, then ran as a Libertarian.

Texas and South Dakota are the only ones I found that didn't have challenges.

The difference is they never stayed in to the end as trump is. So the courts basically said, “Technically they did not lose, they dropped out before they could,” Thus they were eligible to run on a third party ticket.

Interesting things happens when you investigate past what the reporters report.

The whole story emerges and the truth is revealed. Trump is screwed from running third party.

You know what they always say, as Wisconsin goes, so does the Nation.

Oh, they don’t say that? LOL

BTW - When is the last time a Republican won Wisconsin in the General Election?

Has Fox News called Cruz the winner in WI yet?

Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes, dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

And that is just the Cruz supporters. The GOPe would be even worse.

Maybe it’s just me, but I have no recollection that Wisconsin was such an important State in the Republican Primary history.

It isn’t Winner Take All so what is the impact no matter who gets first and second, a difference of 12 Delegates?

Come tomorrow, nobody will give a whit about what happened in Wisconsin just as what happened in Iowa.

Just my $.02, your Mileage may vary.

I agree. This is just more MSM effort to try and convince everyone that it's over for Trump.
