Trump seems to be twisted in knots regarding abortion, and he’s going to keep getting questioned in this regard, because of it. For instance, today in a New York Times article:

Dowd: When [you were] a swinging bachelor in Manhattan, [were you] ever involved with anyone who had an abortion?

Trump: “Such an interesting question,” he said. “So what’s your next question?”

The problem is, is that's he's likely never given the issue of abortion more than a minute's thought. People who are very invested in an issue and have very strong opinions on an issue tend to believe that everyone else does too.

Now Trump is being asked to think on his feet and articulate clear, consistent, logical positions on the issue of abortion. Funny thing was, he did exactly this, and wound up pissing off both sides. Realizing he stepped in a minefield, he's now trying to walk it back, twisting himself into knots doing so.

Trump: “Such an interesting question,” he said. “So what’s your next question?”

Probably should've been his answer from the very beginning.

That was a brutal answer by Trump. I am surprised it has not been discussed more on this db
