Actually sounds like a decent idea.
If our mega churches look like Six Flags over Jesus, why not have some fast food grub too...

It will probably happen...someday. The Lakeland FL-based Publix supermarket chain was never open on Sunday while founder, icon, and hardcore Baptist George Jenkins was alive, but within a year of his passing, that went out the window.
Truett Cathy was the George Jenkins of Chick-fil-A, but the main reason the Sunday rule hasn’t changed is that the company went straight to his son Dan, who is a younger version of his father. Someday a generation will arise who will not remember Joshua.

So funny. I wanted to believe it. Many times after mass, we’ll run to the mall and of course would love to eat at chick fil A. But alas, it’s closed. Oh well.

While growing up we had pretty strict "blue laws" in my state which meant that many types of stores had to close on Sundays...Department Stores being the best example.Pharmacies, gas stations and restaurants are example of places that *could* open on Sundays.I liked those laws.
People need to eat on Sundays just as they need prescriptions on Sunday so I'm not sure I have a problem with this announcement. They do need to make it clear that nobody will be forced to work on Sunday,however...that could be seen as a violation of Christian values.

LOL! They should have gone all the way and said that the COO had died and that a band of homoFasicists had taken over the company.

I’m surprised the libs haven’t tried to take Chick-Fil-A to court in an effort to force them to open on Sunday citing freedom FROM religion..............sounds like something they would do.

Well, Paul admonished the newly formed church to not allow people to judge you by Sabbath's and New Moons. As the New Testament was sealed by the shed blood of Jesus, we were relieved of the Law. I didn't read of any reserved Law that was retained to beat people over the head with. As we moved into the new covenant with God, He left us with only one "Law", Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. This pretty much rounds up the whole Law of the OT in one statement.
God never changed the Sabbath to Sunday,....man did. He never relieved us of the command to set aside the Lord's Feast days, man did. In the millennium, God will reintroduce the Saturday Sabbath and we will celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem again.(Zech 14:16-21)
