Well, that's kind of the point of this Salon piece. It's okay for THOSE politicians to be immoral scumbags because they're 'right' on the social issues (i.e., they're on board with sexual immorality, homosexuality, abortion, transgenderism, etc.). But if you dare to oppose their social agenda, your life must be beyond reproach.
That's their logic, anyway. It's asinine, IMO. It's kind of like saying, 'How dare you oppose heroin use? You drank a pitcher of margaritas once!'

Their supporters never yelled that they could NEVER support a certain other candidate because of his "sexual immorality".
