I do think, however, that if anyone could just turn around on a dime, say "I was just kidding" and buddy up with his former enemy....AND totally have his followers just press the "I Believe" button and forget all of the animosity of this battle, it would be Trump.
His followers will always see a "brilliant plan" in anything he does, and will always give him a pass.
