Anybody else think Trump/Cruz " feud " is part of a plan ?

Together they have eliminated the entire field , and are forcing the GOPe to resort to dirty pool in order to slip in somebody other then one of them at the convention . These are two very smart men who met in NY last year . Ever wonder what they discussed at that time ? This " feud " is getting so ridiculous it dawned on me that perhaps Trump and Cruz hatched this idea way back when , and agreed to throw support to whomever got the most delegates in the primaries , assuming it would be one of them . Looks like Trump will have the most . I now believe that just before the convention that Trump and Cruz will make a joint announcement informing everyone of this secret plan they had , shoving sand in the face of the establishment . Cruz will support Trump and get the VP spot . Am I nuts ?

And the strategy of “fighting” now has each camp totally passionate about their guy so that if they run together, the combined enthusiasm is off the chart.

Just a theory...

LOL. So, what is the theory? Trump and Cruz are working together for Hillary?

There isn't a shred of evidence of this. I think the GOP trying anything at the convention is equal to martin O'Malley's chances of being the Democrat nominee.

No, not unless it’s Hillary’s plan.

But a man who talks like a hysterical teenage girl and Tweets all the time is manly?

Are you too young to have heard of John Wayne?

You're the one with the lousy memory!

This all started when Cruz was meeting with his billionaire donors and telling how he was playing kissy-face with Trump and Carson, playing for the right time to stick a shiv in their backs. That's when Trump became grumpy.

Cruz is an arrogant, overtly ambitious little boy in an adult body, who believes that he is better than he really is and got his nose bent out of join t when W didn't see him that way. Cruz didn't get the job he wanted, from W, so decided to get higher jobs by any means there were.

Cruz, no matter what he may claim, is an INSIDER and a pol. Trump isn't either.

No, if either took on the other as VP, it would destroy their image. Trump has branded Cruz a liar, Cruz has branded him a bully. So no go.

Why don’t you just keep clutching those pearls as you relax on your fainting couch.

What are they trying to lull her into a sense of false security? Lately, they seem like they are trying to do everything possible to make sure Hillary hits 70%?

How do they benefit from making them think they are mortal enemies?

They will destroy Clinton AFTER the GOP convention . One of them has got to get the GOP nom first , preferably Trump .

But you still haven't explained how pretending they hated each other helped them destroy Clinton? Couldn't they have done that even more easily if they hadn't done all this?

As strategies go, I don't see it.

As soon as Cruz derails Trump on the delegate count. Cruz will be destroyed. Leaving the convention open to the establishment pick.

IF this is in fact a plan , before the convention , they would announce that it was which would nullify all the negative stuff they threw at each other so Hillary couldn’t use it against them . Then they would go after her .

First and foremost, Trump is an old fashioned man, a PATRIOT, who finally had had enough, had enough money, ego, and contacts to allow him to do what many people, without some or all of that have often thought or said: "I CAN DO A BETTER JOB OF IT THAN ALL OF THESE DAMNED LOSERS!", so he threw his hat into the ring.

OTOH, Cruz has always been extremely ambitious, greedy for power, money, and fame he imagined is due him. He never has had any patience and he IS the actor, not Trump! Trump just has an oversized persona; what you see is what he is; well, partially, because he wears many hats and behaves differently in different situations. He doesn't need the trappings of the presidency to BE somebody.

Cruz knows that the only way he could ever be POTUS is to be Trump’s VP this time . The more I think about it , the more convinced I am that this hypothetical plan I threw out there might be real after all . Trump will serve 4 years and then Cruz will take over .
