If they can finagle a way, by hook or by crook, to get Trump to “cave” and knuckle under, even on the most petty, most nitpicking issue such as this, the bloodthirsty libs will use that to hammer him into oblivion.
Trump’s only workable path, IMHO, is to stay the course; keep on the path that has gotten him this far, and trust that his supporters will see this for the chicken $#!t trick that it is, and continue to stick with him and vote for him.
