RSBN is doing its best to keep you updated in real time about what certainly seems to be the effective end of the Cruz campaign, as the multiple-mistress scandal continues to linger and fester.
As of this afternoon, March 29, the Cruz campaign appears to be spinning out of control, if not already finished. It may be just a matter of time.
Not that Big Media is particularly doing much to do anything but bury the story. The trumpophobic media of course is relying on Cruz to remain in the race as its last hope of possibly preventing Trump from receiving the 1,237 delegates required for the Republican nomination.
The big news of the last day or so, make no mistake, is that Heidi Cruz has gone MIA. She canceled her New Jersey campaign events that were scheduled this week, including a fundraiser in Morris County scheduled for Wednesday.
Additionally, she has not tweeted since Friday, the day after the Cruz-infidelity story broke in the National Enquirer.
Additionally, yesterday Cruz added suspicion by hamhandedly attempting to avoid a question on the infidelity issue. Instead, he figuratively hid behind the skirt of Carly Fiorina.
When Cruz was asked by a reporter from DailyMail.com yesterday to tell on the record that youve never been unfaithful to your wife, Fiorina awkwardly jumped in, with a subsequent exchange going as follows:
Fiorina: If I may Reporter: No, Im sorry. I asked the Senator that question. Fiorina: Well, Im gonna comment, OK? Reporter: Do you have first-hand knowledge of his marriage? Fiorina: Im gonna comment. This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trumps tune.
Fiorina then tried her best to change the subject, saying Donald trump is a serial philanderer, by his own admission. And in a week when we have had a terrorist attack in Brussels, a shooting on Capitol Hill, the president of the United States in the baseball stands with Raul Castro, and insisting that he be photographed in front of a portrait of Che Guevara with the two Castro brothers, we are talking about a scurrilous, ridiculous piece in the National Enquirer. Why do you all dance to Donald Trumps tune? Lets talk about the issues, please.
Given another attempt to answer the specific question, Cruz responded with Sir, I recognize that you love going into the gutter with these kind of [several parties talking at once].
Cruz did say, thereafter, that the National Enquirer story is complete garbage. It is total lies. It was planted by Donald Trumps henchmen.
Cruz of course was using legalese there, which could have of course referred to any National Enquirer story. He did not answer the reporters actual question about his faithfulness.
As Trump emphasized during his appearance on The Savage Nation yesterday, it was Marco Rubios campaign which had been peddling the Cruz-mistress story for some time, and Trump himself had nothing to do with its promulgation. In fact, Trump (who of course wasnt there 24/7 and thus cannot be entirely sure that there was no infidelity) expressed to Savage that he thought the allegations were garbage. Note, as was the case with Cruz also using the term garbage to describe the allegations, the use of the word garbage does not necessarily mean that one thinks the allegations are untrue.
Meanwhile, the Cruz campaign has resorted to attempting to deflect attention from its candidates meltdown by playing up the ridiculous-to-the-point-of-almost-hilarious charge of battery in Jupiter, Florida against Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. This battery consisted of a slight inadvertent brush-up against publicity-seeking, now-former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields when both parties were on a crowded stage. Cruzs campaign manager Alice Stewart attempted to exploit the bogus charge against Lewandowski, saying, apparently not jokingly: Unfortunately, this abusive behavior seems to be part of the culture of the Trump campaign.
As for the division of the Cruz campaign know as The Glenn Beck Program, Beck said yesterday that hell drop Ted Cruz like a hot potato if the sex scandal allegations turn out to be true.
Beck added that But if youre a serial guy, like five of them during this campaign, thats insane, a totally different person han we think Ted Cruz is But, laughingly, Beck pointed out that Cruz doesnt have enough game. Were not talking Tom Cruise. Its Ted Cruz, have you watched him?
Beck has taken in recent weeks to referring to Cruz as the anointed one, beseeching Christian voters that its their religious due to vote for Cruz.
Some Cruz supporters are certainly troubled by the way the story is playing out. According to Tanna, one now-former Cruz supporter: Hes so done. His entire campaign has been based on being a moral elitist being above and more GODLY than the rest of us and I took the bait. Shame on me. Last time I fall for that preacher crap.
In sum, whether the adage that where theres smoke, theres fire applies to the Cruz-infidelity story is, for now, for you to decide. We at RSBN suspect the soap opera known as the Cruz Campaign will be providing a final answer very shortly.
I’m working from memory of a journalism class from 1977. We were studying the Billy Sol Estes case in Texas.
By the way, the class taught each story should be written using the five Ws - “who, what, when, where, why with a HOW thrown in. No opinions.
Wow! The GOP side has descended into a wild bloviating, juvenile, mud slinging gutter mess!! Disgusting!
I want a shot at “creative headline writing”...how about:
“Trump campaign in meltdown mode as campaign manager accused of assault on a woman, bikers descend on his campaign stop in WI, and Melania shocks with a new look!”

I hope we return to the issues before my June 7th primary, otherwise I will be re-registering “decline to state” or something, so I can vote for someone other than these two.
Dude, we have photographic evidence that Ted used condoms. At least with one of them.
She’s in Wisconsin right now and on Twitter. It’s simple to find that out.
I agree, but I hope you have your flameproof underwear on. Some (not all) Trump supporters make the rank and file of the French Revolution look like Voltaire.
Since this old man does not use those twitterifacy thing, can someone use the Heidi phone to post for her, giving the appearance that she is active on these forums?
How do condoms on a bed mean Ted Cruz used them or was there?
Don’t waste your breathe on that one. The transformation is complete. Lost cause to the living dead. Koolaid driven!
They could if they have her password. But there are also pictures of her in Wisconsin today.
Maybe if they print more, but not yet. However, some of the women have a much better case than Cruz because they aren’t public figures.
RE: He could say: I have never committed adultery. I have never been unfaithful to my wife.
There are five presidential candidates in this campaign, why should Ted Cruz be asked to make that statement? Make them all say it.
Unfortunately, yes, while some Trump supporters are level-headed and make up their own minds (see Jeff Sessions, Dr. Carson), many others are of a mob mentality. (I suppose that is true of any political movement, but I think it is more true of Trump’s campaign than that of his GOP rivals’.)
RE: Im willing to bet the National Enquirer has already got the Ted Cruz infidelity story arc story-boarded for the next several weekly issues.
Well that’s what all who are hoping Cruz gets out of Trump’s way are saying, let’s see if your bet wins you a prize.... I’m not holding my breath.
I guess so! I can not believe FR this cycle. I don’t recognize it. I don’t see some of the people even posting anymore that I greatly respect. Maybe they’re like me, I hadn’t posted in a while because it’s gotten crazy. But I just couldn’t help myself!
If Trump is a bad person because as Carly said he is a series philanderer then it seems a reasonable question to Cruz if he has ever cheated on his wife... but hear nothing but crickets on that question...
Is a $3000 per night prostitute a ‘public figure’? ... It would ironic for the NE to make a multi-millionaire out of an expensive hooker.
A man who cant tell the truth to save his reputation is done.
And the fact Cruz didnt sue National Enquirer is telling, indeed.

Your lack of knowledge about the libel laws is stunning, no wait you are a moronic trump supporter, nevermind.
Ah yes, the haughty insult tool ... you’re such a good example of Freerepublic. NOT
Yea, NE did a very poor job of pixelating the women... only took about ten minutes to figure out who they were accusing...
Hi Onyx-ie.
