Has Ted Cruz ever come out and said, “I have never been unfaithful to my wife.?” If this had happened to me, that would have been the first thing I would have said. Not only for my campaign, but for my wife. This whole thing is sordid and in my opinion, it could have been dismissed early on if Cruz had simply said that one sentence.
Ted Cruz, who has excellent command of the English language, apparently does not find it necessary to list acts that he has not committed. He denied the allegations. If you want smut, or better yet, if you want descriptions of acts of adultery, you’ll have to go to Trump for that.
If it is not true, he cant say it. Politically he cant say that if not true. He has hope if the allegations are true but does not lie about it. If he lies, is caught in a lie, he is donem
Sure it would have been dismissed. /s
He foolishly followed such advice and apologized to Dr. Carson although he had done nothing himself and his campaign had done nothing out of the ordinary. That opened the door for Mr. Trump to brand him as a liar and to continue that slander on a daily basis.
He took your approach and issued a statement denying involvement with a third party ad featuring a picture of Mr. Trump's wife. Despite Mr. Trump bragging about how classy the picture was and how proud he was that she had been featured in such a great magazine, he pounced again with a twitter campaign personally attacking Mrs Cruz. No evidence but go after a man's wife for something you think her husband has done.
Now we are supposed to believe that if he had just denied the latest unsubstantiated allegations Mr. Trump and his acolytes would have been satisfied. Not in a million years. When dealing with Mr. Trump, everyone should have learned by now to keep the fable about The Scorpion and the Frog in mind.
