I believe it’s Japan where the taller you are, the better you do.
I like to think that hard work and determination combined with good values and ethics will see a guy through. Then again I am 6’2, so perhaps I’m height privileged. I thought I was already over doing being a white Christian male. How do I make amends for all this?
So what is the definitive size reference for a “short male”?
Less than 5’5”?
Two words: Audie Murphy!
Gives new meaning to Microaggression :)
My cousin’s brother-in-law is a financial guru in the area and he and his wife are both under 5’ 3” tall. He may be even shorter than that. A story I was told is that they were visiting my aunt and uncle and my cousin couldn’t help but notice how his brother-in-law’s feet were inches from touching the floor as he sat in one of non-reclining chairs in the den as they watched a U of M game, wearing his U of M jersey with a mini football in his lap.
I believe the average Roman was 5’3 and they did pretty good until 6’0 barbarians like me came along.
Is it just me, or is every male of this latest generation who is at least 17 years of age at least 6’ tall? I did my growing up in the 70’s, and back then guys ran the gamut in height from short to medium to tall. Nowadays, it seems virtually all of them are tall. Must be something in the water...
Ted Cruz 5’8”
And they all want to fight to prove how small they are.
James Madison was 5’ 4”
These studies always amuse me. I’m 5’1, 42 years old, prior service Marine, current Naval officer, beautiful wife, great kids....every reason to be happy. Have a good attitude, work hard, get smart at something, be nice to people. Sure I’ve taken plenty of crap, but I’ve never allowed myself to excuse failure. Overcome, adapt, improvise.
I’m currently reading a short history of the Ghurkas- average height 5’4”, and some of the toughest, deadliest soldiers alive. Short men also have a lot of health advantages- being 6’, 200+ lbs (like me) can be hard on the human body. Not to mention many obvious advantages for space travel...
My husband always said he was 5’7” I never questioned him until our son was the same height and I measured him and he was 5’6”. I asked my husband what the deal was, he laughed and said that was with his boots on.
I’m 5’7”. Never really been an obstacle to anything, except something that required height. :-)
I’m 5’10”, 185lb. That is almost exactly an average size human. I enjoy having almost everything that is ergonomically designed in effect being fit for me.
I’m short and I still have trouble with airline seats, but I can imagine it would be unbearable if I were taller.
OK, you short men, here’s what you do.
Don’t get upset.
Just declare yourselves a victim and a minority, and all kinds of doors will open for you.
It’s worked for blacks, Hispanics, gays, transgenders, Muslims, women, felons - why not you?
Height is just one dimension, although the easiest to see. 3D brain volume is more strongly correlated with intelligence and income. From personal experience the smartest women wear Men's size extra large bicycle helmets, and their heads are like heavy concrete blocks.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
We taller guys have a better chance with the gorgeous tall women!
