Hershey did something similar. It used to be the best cheap chocolate around, but then they added something called PGPR and started packaging them in plastic, no more tin foil, and they are nauseating.
No more Hersheys here.
A decent dark chocolate is at least 85% cacao and contains 5 grams of sugar or less. This Lindt dark chocolate is 90% cacao and contains 2.8 grams of sugar per serving. I freeze it and let it melt in my mouth. Goes great with black coffee or red wine.
Hershey’s tastes so bad I won’t eat it.
The only “fake chocolate” I can tolerate is the thin strip around the milk duds. Otherwise just no.

Other product ruined: Hydrox cookies; Head & Shoulders shampoo; Grape Nuts cereal; Dial soap (easy-open wrapper tab disappeared [probably $0.001 per soap bar cost savings] and hollow back to shrink product size); and many more.
No more Hersheys here.
