Everybody is already infected with the virus that turns you when you die, and the baby shares Maggie's blood, so....

In the other hand, a fetus lacks teett, sharp nails, and muscle tone, so I'm not sure there's much it could do anyway. And it may even continue to draw sustenance from the mother and so not really even try to attack.

EVERYONE is infected. It just doesn’t show itself until you die. I am NOT the one that is going to remind her of this. They will need to do an emergency C-section on Maggie. And of course.....
