You have to love how Cruz all of a sudden decides Trump is "behind" this. I actually am suspecting Romney though. Think about it. It was his campaign manager who started this whole thing with the Melania "First Lady" ad in Utah. They don't like Cruz and figure Kasich can do better here in than Cruz, so time to eject him from the race so Kasich can get max delegates from Trump but not near approach enough to feel like he earns the nomination.

This story does not seem to come from Trump. It seems to have been around for about a month, coming from Rubio’s campaign. Reporters knew about it. Then Rubio dropped out and it was abandoned. Until National Enquirer picked it up and published it.
Breitbart and the Washington Post have confirmed parts of this story.
I do not believe the allegations against Cruz. Most concerning, though, is the mud flinging at these women and of their reputations.
This is not the sort of rumor to spread until the truth is known.

I agree with you although not that long ago, Cruz said Trump should reveal the NYT off record interview and tax returns; in order for Trump to prove his innocence.
