And it’s true that Neville Brand almost always played villains, thanks to his looks. But there was one other little exception I recall. There was a rather obscure, semi-forgotten film entitled “Return from the Sea” (1954), in which Brand actually starred, playing a lonely Navy officer in San Diego who winds up in an unlikely romance with Jan Sterling. Haven’t seen it in decades, but I remember it being a rather nice film, in a sort of minor, low-key way.
Hehe...I have that episode, in fact I have the entire series on DVD ( copied from TV and transferred to disc ) . One of my fave shows as a kid .
That’s right. Forgot I had read that. Never saw much of his show but do remember his being very popular back then. Our household was into cowboys and Indians.....and football :-))
That would be John Russell (1921-1991).
Garry Shandling also passed away on Thursday. These celebs are dying by the dozen so far this year. This was from this season of Jerry Seinfelds show.
He did look a bit heavy, bloated so I suspect heart problems. Ironic title.

Yes, I saw that later in the day. He was taken to the hospital and subsequently died. He has not been seen in such a long time. Not that he was often watched, but his show was viewed from time to time
They all seem to be leaving us. Certainly makes many of us feel our age these days.
