Me, too. I think we're showing our age...

RIP, Joe. Prayers up for the family and friends.

He wasn’t even the best catcher in his neighborhood. He grew up on the same street as Yogi Berra who died last September at 90.

An icon in the baseball world, not because of his batting and fielding average, but just an all around good guy who brought colorful commentary to the sport. He was the brunt of a Dean Martin roast in the 70’s. Fun stuff. RIP Joe G.

Rest in peace, Joe, you were one of the good ones. Thanks for all of the great memories.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. By the mercy of God, may he rest in peace. Amen. +

Memories of weekends working with my dad who always had NBC Monitor on the radio, where Joe Garagiola was a regular.

RIP Joe and thanks for keeping us informed all these years.

That just leaves Vin Scully as the last of the great announcers.

Charlie Brown’s hero and the man whose autographed picture was a premium for one of Schroeder’s new piano was a humble man.

RIP. Always liked watching him on Saturday afternoons on NBC with Vin Scully. Was an occasional treat when they would do the odd Montreal Expos game back then.

On top of everything else, he was also a very good and amiable game show host. I remember him from Sale of the Century back in the early 70's. RIP Joe.

Loved Garogiola as the play by play guy on the Westminster Dog Show broadcast.

He was immortalized as Fred Willard in the mockumentary “Best in Show,” an over-the-top portrayal that rankled the veteran announcer. …”

God Speed , Joe.
