They are doing so in Boston as well. I strongly believe that ultimately this will significantly reduce both urban car sales & traffic as more people below the age of thirty opt to use ride sharing exclusively. One ‘advantage’ of Uber is that you can now pick your driver; my niece won’t use male drivers. I suspect that there is a huge racial disparity in the application of this feature and I’m waiting to read about an EEOC lawsuit against ride sharing companies.
