Well, he is right even if it is unfashionable to agree with him. We do have some severe problems but they are of our own making. We burden our industries with the world’s highest taxation and the costliest regulation. Add to that our insistence on keeping able bodied citizens from working and producing by paying high rates of free money that makes it more sensible in the short run for millions to stay home and suck up subsidies. A high tariff regime would, indeed, reduce imports a lot but it would reduce exports at the same time and drive more American businesses offshore so that they could compete in the world.

We like cheap stuff. Cheap stuff requires cheap labor.

A simplistic platitude. So what do you think the average cost of labor per retail price is of a US made good?

  1. 50%
  2. 25%
  3. 10%
  4. 8%

I agree with you. I’m amazed that conservatives think drug addiction, violent crime, welfare/disability fraud, rampant illegitimacy, and so on are ... what, picturesque? ... if the participants are white. Life without personal restraint and personal responsibility is vicious, regardless of the skin tone of the participants.

Sure, telling the truth about supply and demand is treason.
Got it.

Either way, cheap stuff requires cheap labor ... no matter where it is made.

How much cheaper is the question. And what are the social and security costs of offshoring. It is a complex issue with solutions clouded by Free Traitors™ throwing out simplistic platitudes.

It is stupid to take politics out of a discussion of trade. Stupid and naive.

I agree. Honda started in Ohio in the early 80s and has been going strong since.

Honey child Ted is going down tomorrow and Trump is going to be the next President. So any propaganda you spew has no effect. GlowBULLists are joke and a new sheriff is coming.

And you know I’m a Cruz supporter exactly how?

And if you’ve read my post, which you obviously have not, you would not be accusing me of being a globalist.

Of course it’s just easier to make up shit about people.

An astounding preponderance of union members in the United States are government employees at every level. This should be illegal.

We are talking about manufacturing. Public sector employment is not relevant to the subject of manufacturing.
