When is Texas going to get Constitutional Carry? Or, as some call it, permit-less carry.
I was born and raised in Texas, Northwest of Denton.
But have lived here in Idaho for the last 20 years.
Here we have Open Carry and Conceal carry with a permit.
But that is changing soon. Our Senate just overwhelmingly passed Constitutional Carry, and it will pass the House in the next week or so. we are hoping our Governor will sign it into law in April.
That means any adult Idahoan, who does not have any criminal or mental restrictions, will be able to Conceal Carry without a permit of any kind inside or outside city limits across the state,
Hey Jeff, I'm a former Idaho native, and the rules when I lived there were open carry (anywhere, with some restrictions), and conceal carry (outside city limits only) did not require a permit. Only concealed carry within city limits required the permit. Did that change? It's been more than a decade since I lived there, but I still visit family every so often.
Close to Constitutional as any, but the Constitution does not bar freed felons or crazies from the recognized right. Anyone who should not be armed should not be running around loose.
Will it delimited to Idahoans only?
Thanks!
Ed
We still have a GOPe type running our State House (a holdover of Governor Perry), a guy much like Paul Ryan. Unless we can get him out of office, we’re stuck being a squishy state, even with a SOLID conservative majority.
