When Sean told him that if the candidate with a huge lead is denied the nomination, his people will walk and not come back. Reince basically confirmed that this was exactly his plan and said it isn’t chicanery.
I saw it. The complete arrogance of his answer was breath-taking. Distilled down, he basically said, if a candidate doesn't gain via primaries and caucuses enough delegates to win on the first ballot, then it's HIS FAULT that we have a contested convention and HIS FAULT that the delegates can choose to vote any way they want on future ballots. It's not the RNC's fault that they pick somebody other than the person who got the most votes in the primaries/caucuses, it's the person who didn't get 1237's fault. He tap-danced around it, but all but said they're going to go with somebody else, then tried to set the stage to blame Trump for it. Just one more instance that yes, the elites really do believe we are that gullible.
