UFO’s ‘Strangers In The Night’ and Lou Reed’s ‘Rock N Roll Animal’ are the two live albums I know about that I consider superior live albums and superior to any thing those acts actually did in the studio. I like them better anyhow, and it’s not even close.

Weird how their live sound was so good and energetic. The studio stuff puts me to sleep.
The intro to Sweet Jane on that album is absolutely jaw dropping.

+1. Very underrated. I had tickets to see them in late '78, but Michael Schenker quit a couple weeks before the show, replaced by Paul Chapman. Went anyway. Disappointing.
Strange... I have never been able to appreciate any version of “Love to Love” or “Try Me” other than the ones on the “Lights Out” Album. Besides having some Orchestra The vocals on it seem far superior to me. I have heard that UFO has not always had the same lead singer.
The song “Profession of” by UFO is obviously a master piece worthy of hall of fame status.
Many other great UFO songs too.
UFO is one of most under appreciated greatest bands of all time. Most people don’t even know who they are.
