The problem is (and I’m a Cruz supporter) there is no way that Cruz gets to 1237, and it’s likely Trump doesn’t either. If neither does, then the party bosses are gonna do whatever they can to ensure that someone else gets it - Kasich, Ryan, Bush, etc.. Unifying the Trump and Cruz forces may be the only way to prevent that.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for Cruz to keep Trump from getting 1237.

Trump WILL get 1237, if not more.

Trump is the one that made this reconciliation impossible, not Cruz, with his birther “he is a Canadian” nonsense.

Trump and Cruz had better come together before the first vote. After that it’s too late.

Like so many others on these threads, you are completely overlooking and discounting the character, experience, and mega-skills of Donald Trump. By the time the Republican convention, the GOPe and their delegates become convinced they are the "second coming", Trump is going to have them all bagged, tagged, and sent off to the kitchen for a stir fry. You are not dealing with a mere mortal when you deal with Mr. Trump. Mark my words.

It's not in the best interest of either Trump or Cruz to fight each other. Cruz cannot win the nomination, but he may be able to deny Trump the needed delegates for a 1st round victory. If that occurs, the Trump delegates will never allow Cruz to be the nominee even in the unlikely event that the GOPe continues to support him. Cruz must know this. He must know that his ordained role is to clear the field for for some establishment GOP candidate. If Cruz is who he claims to be, nothing could be more repellent to him than being the means by which the establishment triumphs.

Yes, but the Cruiser Butt-Hurt Brigade will not supoort this obvious tactic.

We can only hope Cruz is more mature than his followers.
