Official OTR Blog of "The Big Broadcast" thread:
Longtime radio personality and The Big Broadcast host Ed Walker passed away early on Oct. 26 at age 83. We invite you to leave your thoughts and remembrances.
Ed Walker spent 65 years on the radio. His last program was unlike any other.
It's a fairly cerebral lineup tonight...You Bet Your Life is pretty good...love Halls of Ivy...some sci fi with X Minus One...and don't know much about Justice from the NBC University Theater...
How's it going?

Hi Gina, sounds like you may like the NBC University Theatre tonight...
Yes, that looks interesting, as does the X-Minus One.
So, all that rain has now made it to you. We had about 3 1/2 inches here, but it’s beautiful today, perfect weather.
I guess. Otherwise there was good weather this week.
How are you feeling with all the news?
Oh, the news is a downer. The hordes in Chicago were infuriating. It’s probably going to be an indicator of things to come.
Otherwise, we’re thankful. God is good all the time, and all this evil lunacy is temporary.
Mom is coming to visit us next Saturday. She hasn’t been here in ten years. I visit there every year, though.
A few weeks ago, when I posted my thoughts to you about Rob, I sent him an email. Not sure if you paid attention, but he wasn't saying “good night everybody” after the Cantor song. After emailing him about that and other stuff, he's been doing it. I'm proud of that if that's what happened.
Gunsmoke!
He got your e-mail! :-)
This is an intense Gunsmoke. I like this episode. I remember it.
Near the end of that Gunsmoke, I remembered that the fellow did die anyway. It was one of those episodes that makes me cry—not a big cry, but misty-eyes.
It’s a brutal story. I’m on the radio. Night Gina, talk with you later, a Brit mystery is at hand...
I hope you have a good week, Vision. Good night!
