Ouch! I had a friend who worked for BA at YYZ. He ran the tines of a forklift through the fuselage of a 747, right below the cargo door.

He eventually found a job in the air freight industry - far from any runway or tarmac.

This is one of the most common types of damage to aircraft. I once worked for a company that made a kit for repairing aircraft damage caused by forklift stabs.

The kit was really only intended as a temporary patch to allow the aircraft to fly until it reached a repair depot, but in many instances, the plane would just be put back in service until the next major maintenance.

I had a friend at NAS Alameda that ran one of the tow tractors right into the bay.
