I once did an event with William F. Buckley in which we paid him to speak and he said all of his speaking income went to keep National Review alive as it couldn’t make it on subscriptions. That in itself is pretty interesting.

Sounds like their donors are directing their editorial policy. Sick. The incest in politics is truly disgusting.

just read the comments and you can’t say these people aren’t emotionally connected to Trump. You just can’t..it borders on crazy.

Take a look at this.

Those are platforms. They are good platforms. Understandable and likable. The complete lack of detail behind them disqualifies them as issues. Talking points perhaps, but not issues.

You apparently do not understand the executive function. It's a whole separate branch of government with its own distinct role of leadership. The Congress and its many committees and staffers are supposed to be the detail people. The president is the leader, the team captain, the strategist, the visionary, the pilot, and he would be wasting his time trying to be a wonk on all aspects of all issues.

The nation is huge. Trump has done a work of genius in streamlining and communicating in words everyday people can understand the main points of a reform agenda. He also knows how to assemble talent, use leverage and get great work out of people "on time and under budget."

With every change of administration, people who want to help accomplish the leader's platform flood their networks with résumés and try very hard to contribute to the team. I know professionals this minute who are sending their credentials up the line, hoping to be able to help restore this country under a no-nonsense leader that they see in Trump.

"It's disgusting to see Buckley's legacy conservative institution call a leading conservative in the U.S. Senate a prostitute."

As oppossed to Saint Donald calling a leading conservative in the U.S. Senate a nasty fraud lying liar liar liar liar.

And calling a respected, highly accomplished pediatric brain surgeon, a lying, violent, mentally unstable, quack surgeon, fake Christian, pedophile.

Any Republican office-holder who publicly supports a third party will have to quit the R party. I think that will happen, ncluding Senators and Governors.

“Hardly, Trump has been on both sides of every issue”

If that is the case, how do you explain what he is saying on the Oprah Winfrey interview she had with him in 1988, You-Tube. Except for the fact he looks much younger, you would think it was a clip from his recent speeches.

And here is the link, the first one, plus another wayback video that shows Trump to have been developing these issues for decades. Go, ahead, sprink, I double dog dare you to watch these:

Trump discussing foreign trade in 1988

Donald Trump on Economic Recovery in 1991

Call him Jim Bakker. Too bad, as I thought he was the most decent one of the stage.

National Review is exactly right.

You Trumpbots have sold your souls to support this guy.

He has no core - spiritually, ethically, or politically.

People have become so obsessed with the DC political class that they’ve lost all objectivity.

Voters should make their choices based upon well reasoned examinations of the candidates’ records, not just emotion.

Emotion is what got Obama elected.

Where did that get us?
