Mark Levin tonight, on his newly launched LevinTV, announced his support for Ted Cruz, as the next president of the United States.
Levin, said that Cruz supports and fights for the 'Constitution, the Republic, individual sovereignty, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, family, faith, a secure border, and our national security. '
Levin said that he knows Cruz isn't perfect, but looking at the 'whole picture' and looking at the entire career of Cruz it really is 'a simple decision.'
He went on to say that his support of Cruz isn't because of opposition to Donald Trump, John Kasich, or Marco Rubio. Instead, it is because Cruz understands where this country has been and where it needs to go.
Levin also said that if Cruz secures the GOP nomination, Cruz would win because facing Hillary he would know how to defeat her and know how to win.
For more about why Levin is backing Ted Cruz, watch the third episode of LevinTV here.
Really? Is it that bad? I don’t listen.
How about all of FR’s Constitutional originalists? Now it only applies to one issue. The original intent of ‘freedom of the press’ isn’t so important now, and neither is original intent regarding state sovereignty when it comes to caucus and primary rules.
Liberty and even civilization itself is always in a far more perilous situation than we imagine.
Not surprised at all.
Do we, the citizens of the USA, even still have a Republic?
I’m not sure we do, and if we do, it is hanging by a thread, and no radio or TV personality is going to help us save it.
Popular political media pundits who created a niche industry for themselves, arguing about who is the “most pure” conservative Republican, have devolved into inane and rather pointless and outdated entertainment figureheads.
Lot’s of us have been talking quietly amongst ourselves, for a long time, and decided we can actually take back our rightful places and power.
Mark, Rush, Sean etc are welcome to join us, but they will not lead us.
That’s not their role.
I watched Mark Levin’s entire “Levin TV” episode tonight. It was an excellent speech and presentation, rock-solid conservatism, and his endorsement of Ted Cruz is spot-on and makes perfect sense. I concur.
I deleted his podcast from my phone weeks ago when his TDS got bad. He was as close as you can get to endorsing Cruz without actually saying it. He can think whatever he thinks. I don’t have to listen.
You’ve barely been here long enough to know squat, noob.
Conservatism used to mean something other than free trade, open borders, and voting with the opposition. Today’s “conservative” follows the Bush globalism, or “cuckservatives”.
So no, many of us aren’t “conservatives” any longer. If you want to stay on the establishment plantation, go ahead. They have kept us here with their false promises since Reagan. Most of us jumped the barbed wire on that plantation, and hope you enjoy your stay.
It will probably return to being conservative once trump is no longer an issue.
Mark Levin = Glenn Beck
Another one bites the dust.
[You’re kidding right? With Levin and Limbaugh it has been daily assault on Trump and idol worship for Ted. Hardly “occassional”]
What are you talking about? Rush, for some reason, has been very supportive of Trump.
How many assume the mantle of "Republican", and couldn't give you a decent definition of "republic" without Google?
Levin is GREAT! A committed Conservative Constitutionalist to the core. Has been a big favorite here on FR for many, many years. Anbody who would excoriate this man for whatever reason must be a communist or have other agendae. Keep the endorsements coming.
I think it’s the portrayal of anger. DT has a ferocious temper (especially when the nation is not making him money by staying in his hotels, playing golf, or giving him their money in the casinos—hence previous talk of running) and their own anger is echoed in his words (not too deep but always cutting) and body language.
I also think that is why DT supporters here are so overtly touchy. They have been burned and the scars are super sensitive. They are conservative. The Reagan Dems are also conservative but they vote by family tradition and don’t want to admit they are republicans.
Rush is a great American. I give him a full lifetime on the radio. He has been ambivalent about Trump. I understand the dollars involved. I still love him and respect him. Levin is a “Glen Beck”. Kooky as hell, IMO. Gone in 6 months. I think Beck might get institutionalized. Levin will just disappear as a “has been”. They missed the greatest American since George Washington.
Even all the infamous liberal media snakes like Cronkite, Rather, Jennings, Koppel, Couric, Rose, Donaldson, Roberts, were never so obviously backing a specific candidate. For the past half-year Levin has made a total fool of himself.
I didn't watch the video, but did Mark happen to say that he is '... proud to endorse the first-ever foreign born candidate for President of the United States! ...'. I mean this is a truly unprecedented case, he knows that by now. Why aren't he and his sycophants stressing that fact like everyone does for first woman/black/hispanic/etc? This is historic, right?
Trump has proclaimed loud and clear that HE will cut deals right and left. Same difference.
So hes OK with Obama if he was born in Kenya?
Levin is off his rocker.
So a constitutionalist, commenting on the current supreme court for example, might say “well, we have 4 votes on one side (of an issue) and 4 votes on the other, but I MUST be even-handed, so will agree with both sides, on average.
Doesn't work that way. Levin, like a good justice, calls them the way he sees ‘em, in his case through the prism of constitutional conservatism, and makes a bottom-line judgment. He came down on the side of Cruz. Decision rendered. Only question is, is he writing for majority side or not?
I’m shocked. I wonder if he’s going on tour with Stabby?
