Whew! For a minute I thought our poor friend George Zimmerman had yet another misadventure, this time with a snake!
Let him stay out of the news a little bit longer, for everyone’s good.

Bonnet, a woman’s hat?

Oh I get it. A hood.

How would you like to have a python in your Easter bonnet? Better self defense than mace.

With Easter on March 27 (Gunner Anoreth’s 25th birthday, *drink*), I expect to be wearing a couple of layers of wool scarves.

Reptile friends around here are keeping a low profile for now.

I don’t get it. Start the engine. Drive the car away from the house. When it gets hot enough the snake will crawl away. No need to grab it.

Me, too. I pictured him with one of those tall raffia? hats they coil their hair under wherever, the Caribbean and beyond. I don't care for it.

And I liked garter snakes because i knew they were harmless as a kid, used to pick them up to show off to the boys. Now they are creepy, and if they killed every last one, maybe not garter snakes, it would make the world a better place.

My daughter had a bf, years and years ago. I think it was a python he had. I'd go over and the thing would be stretched full length along the baseboard. They had to buy a live mouse for it every day or so. It was a young one. I don't think I could sleep in a house with one of those on the loose.

Well, they broke up and he moved home with Mom. With the snake. It got loose; it was in the paper, they never found it. If it slithered to the river, I wonder if it could have drifted downstream. Hard to say.

All things considered, I’d rather have a bee in my bonnet.
