Andrews sued the hotel alleging it acted negligently when allowing a man who was stalking her to book the room next to hers and surreptitiously film nude videos of her in 2008 while she worked for ESPN.How was the hotel supposed to know this guy was stalking her?

He managed to get her room number AND a room next to hers; AND he had time to alter the peep hole
So yeah, they had some culpability.

How did he manage to record videos of her nude, while in a room ‘next’ to hers ?
Does she run around in the nude in her hotel room, for hours ?

Once they gave the dude her hotel number they were liable for anything.
I worked in luxury hotels for 30 years. You NEVER give out anyone’s room number.

The hotel gave him a room beside hers at his request.

I don’t know what was proven but it was alleged that hotel employes gave dates of stay and arranged for him to have the room next door where he drilled peep holes.
Since there are multiple incidents of this happening, I would say that it was no accident.
