When this is dramatically lowered on appeal the jurors should be on the hook to make up the difference. Jurors would be a lot less apt to steal from the “big corporation” if their own wallets were on the line with their judgment.
And big corporations wouldn’t give a crap if there wasn’t a big judgement.
