Daytime warming is completely normal. Sometimes it’s only up to the 20s or 30, but it’s still a thing. Especially if it’s not cloudy.

The weird thing with winter up here is when you have nighttime warming. A different front blows in and suddenly it’s warmer in the morning than it was when you went to bed!

The counter to that is the days where there is essentially no high temperature. The high is right after midnight and it falls all day.

That happens here, too when a strong, slow moving cold front edges into the area in the pre-dawn hours, and continues to crawl in during the day-in January, there were 2 of those-it was about 55-60 at midnight, 40 with wind blowing by 3 pm and into the 20’s by 10pm that night.

We rarely get the cold night-warm morning kind of weather...
