You might want to rethink that position. You see, there is no requirement that the delegates bound to vote for Trump on the first ballot are actually Trump supporters.

The delegates are chosen at state conventions sometime between now and the convention, and you can bet the Rubio and Cruz campaigns will be there to get their supporters on the delegation. Trump has already dismantled his state organizations in the states that have already voted. So it is very possible that the delegations from SC, for example, could have less than half the delegation made up of people who actually support Trump. They have to vote for him on the first ballot, but after that, they can vote for anyone they choose.

So don't you think the GOP and the Rubio and Cruz campaigns will do everything they can to make sure the delegations are composed of people not inclined to play "Let's Make a Deal" with Trump?

Yep - and the last polls on who won the debate are evidence that the harder they push to dump him, the harder the People are going to push to keep him.
