As Trump has attacked mitt for being a choke artist and seems to believe that the election in 2012 should have been an easy win. Why did he not run then ?

He probably didn’t have the time or thought Mutt could win. I still can’t believe what that guy did today, after Trump supported him and endorsed him he stabs the guy right in the back. I cannot stand Romney, calling Trump a fraud? I don’t see Trump making pretend he’s Ronald Reagan, adopting his mannerisms and speech like he does.

I’ll answer your stupid question.
Maybe Trump wasn’t ready yet.
To: Bidimus1
An honest answer.
He was an outsider to the GOPe machine then too.

Maybe he did not think the GOPe was as stupid as it really is until he saw them blow a gimme election. Trump has addressed this. He said something like he was running this time because he was disgusted by the incompetence of the GOPe last time and thought he could do it better himself. I do not remember the exact wording but it was something like that.

Who would have believed that Mittens and the GOP could loose against obama? Did any one here? They still screwed it up.

Thinking that's an honest, or even sort of clever trick question is not helpful to what Freepers will think of you as a poster.
I'd rather not say the word most of us will call your shortly hereafter.
Good luck, don your asbestos suit, because the flaming you're going to experience will be legion.
And deserved.........
To: Bidimus1
Well that’s easy.
It was the 2012 run by Romney that showed Trump that Romney was a choker. It was by loosing that race, which should have easily been won, that convinced Trump that he needed to start preparing.
To: Bidimus1
You said an honest, but didn’t say it was also a stupid question. Why didn’t you run?

You obviously don't follow Trump's remarks. For a while, Trump has said "Where was Romney in the last month of his campaign?" It would be a little late for Trump to run at that point.
Romney ran then went into hiding the last few weeks to ensure an 0bunghole win.
To: Bidimus1
He didn't think he had to. Your boys so f-ed things up for the past 30 years (with no end in sight), he felt obliged.
I for one, appreciate his sacrifice in deciding to run. He sure as hell didn't need to. He and his family would be just fine, even better off if he didn't.

Donald has said that his kids were not ready to take over the business and he had too many deals in the pipeline. He thought that, while Romney appeared to be a really weak candidate, Romney could beat a failed President Obama. Donald Trump was really upset when Mitt tried to coast the last few weeks.

Well, didn’t most people think anybody with half a brain could have beaten Obama? It should have been a slam dunk. He probably didn’t think he needed to run then.

I think where his grown kids were at figured into it, since they are the ones to take over his business. Ivanka, especially, runs a lot of the new acquisitions business and she was a new mom then. Eric was getting married. Don was the only one really ready to take over; but even he has five kids, so maybe they all needed more prep time. Here are just the buildings; there are also something like 17 golf courses, plus restaurants, merchandise lines, a property management business and television shows:
