I’d love it if I lived in a country where its citizens had priority enrollment at universities.

Jumped into the sequence “after take off” and won’t need the “landing” sequence, huh?

Universities LOVE foreign students because they pay a much higher tuition.

A 23 year old Middle Eastern male attending flight school. Is there something wrong with this picture?

Yep. We are far too generous to offer higher education (and immigration to our country) to people who do NOT even have any intention of accepting the American way of life, and will take the first opportunity to SPIT in our face. This stupid crap must end…

This notion that this nation HAS to have immigration in any form is a bleeding heart myth that we somehow need these people. We don’t. Nor is immigration-as-a-rule required anywhere in the Constitution.

Immigration is controlled by the State Department’s discretion. There are much ballyhooed rules, regulations and edicts in the State Department’s toolkit but it all boils down to discretion, some input from Congress as to various precautions, and what the President wants to do.

The fantasy that we need the richness and diversity of immigrants, often valued way over its own citizens’ ethics, values and goals, is nothing but folderol that ends up dividing us rather than uniting us.

There are so many of the prospective immigrants, refugees, and outright opportunists today who have absolutely no intention of assimilating or contributing to the overall well being of this country. They are here to control it, rape it and pillage it.

I just love the new world Obama has created. Last night when I went out to eat at Denny’s there was a Muslim looking guy wearing a turban sitting across from another guy who was definitely Middle Eastern. When he got up to leave my wife and decided to exit the restaurant “just in case” he was going to detonate a bomb. After he left I took a quick look underneath his seat to see if he had eft anything behind. 7 years ago my mind wouldn’t have even ventured into these waters. Thanks Obama for importing terrorism onto our soil intentionally and creating a much more hostile nation. Just thanks...

Actually, under the US Constitution, Congress has the exclusive and absolute authority to enact immigration law, and the President and the Executive branch is then obligated to enforce that law.

This makes the various EO’s signed by Obama regarding immigration that contradicts current law totally unconstitutional.

He attends flight school here.... Yeah. Flight school.

Yep. That is pretty unbelievable.

Muzzies shouldn’t even be allowed on planes unless being deported.

The distinction between immigration and naturalization(which is the power the constitution gives the federal government) is a blurry line. There are quite a number of Congressional acts over the years that set requirements on immigrants’ entry or refusal, but the base Constitution largely only discussed who has the power to naturalize. At least that’s my understanding.

But it could be, likely, that I am wrong. I am often.

Ah, his first deportation and he’s not even president yet. I may vote for him yet.

They post the same thing at places like DU & KOS, but they mean the Egyptian.

Well... present immigration is too high, but, if it becomes zero, our population growth would go negative.

Most legal immigrants do better in terms of low crime, health, family integrity, and their kids’ educational success, than native born Americans. But this only holds when they do not overwhelm our ability to assimilate them, and when they wish to assimilate.

Put another way, is Melania Trump’s presence in the US a positive or negative, and is that positive or negative dependent on who she married (assuming she married a reasonably productive citizen)?

I guess I was wrong. After looking through the archives about it, the first action in 1788 was to discuss the naturalization thing. I learn something every day.
