I'm not sure endorsements matter this cycle. In our primary here in South Carolina every major Republican politician came out for Rubio and did not seem to make noticeable difference.

I agree. Endorsements don’t really matter this year for Republicans. But the Dems still count on their sheep to be led and steered by endorsements.
